Blushing bride Priyanka Chopra couldn't contain her excitement for new husband Nick Jonas during an interview for her new movie, "Isn't It Romantic?" on Sunday (10 FEBRUARY 2019).
The Hollywood power couple initially kept coy about their storybook romance, first appearing together in public at the Met Ball in May 2017, and through a series of social media posts in 2018, it became obvious the two were dating.
Chopra, 36, and Jonas, 26, tied the knot in a lavish wedding in India in December 2018.
The "Quantico" star was open about her wedding and marriage to the "Close" singer.
"What I would say is enjoy your spouse, enjoy the person you're with - have fun with them, and like... I mean, that's when the best part of this wedding is - we have so much fun together and we have friends and family we love. We hang all the time and him and... we love each other's company. So I think, like, don't get stuck in the mundanity of life. Like, just find those moments to be with each other," she said.
Chopra added that while she wasn't nervous during the actual ceremony, there was a slight moment of panic when she became overwhelmed with the big day.
While the former Miss World gave advice to newlyweds, her mother also gave her some pointers on how to keep a marriage strong.
"It was a rule my parents had: 'Never go to sleep on a fight and just talk, just whatever you feel,' because... both of you are going to try to be your best and put your best foot forward and, like, especially when you're putting a life together. But if you feel something or if something happens or something bothers you, have a conversation, don't let it build up. And that's really, really great advice. It works because you just nip it in the bud, it's instant."
During the same interview, Rebel Wilson, the lead actress in the movie, and Adam Devine, joked about how weddings were like movie premieres.
"It fully is - except there's no press line!" added Chopra.
